THE CONCEPt

Through a mix of photography and Photoshop, "Introspection" hoped to convey the philosophical idea of self-examination. Aside from the modern elements of the piece, it also draws inspiration from William Shakespeare's "Hamlet" where Hamlet picks up the skull and talks about the person, the living human being, it used to be.

"COLLECTIBLES"

In a conservative country, women are taught to dress appropriately but why are men rarely taught to simply act accordingly?

The prevalence of sexual harassment and misogyny in our country (The Philippines) is extremely alarming and a rapist's mindset is only contributing to the problem. Victim blaming is extremely widespread amongst the people. This art piece aims to highlight the disturbing reality of the objectification of women and how their values are determined by how they dress and how well they conform to societal norms and ideals of "a woman."
